Dow Jones Media Group has partnered with the startup Brave, which owns the same browser, which offers its users a wide range of privacy settings. Companies are planning to test a secure content delivery system based on blockchain technologies, according to a press release from Dow Jones Media, published on Wednesday, April 18.
The partners note that they will test the new system using Brave’s blockchain platform for digital advertising, which will also include Dow Jones Media Group – Barron’s and MarketWatch. Thanks to the partnership of the two companies, some users of the browser, now numbering about 2 million, will also have access to premium content.
“Our model will re-connect users and publishers without sacrificing our privacy requirements,” says Brendan Eich, co-founder and co-founder of Brave. “As a result, our users will be able to fully enjoy high-quality materials from Barron’s and MarketWatch.”
