PayPal clients received fake e-mails about the termination of the use of cryptocurrency

PayPal clients received fake e-mails

PayPal clients received e-mails saying that the cryptocurrency is forbidden for use inside the network. Senders of letters are still unknown.

The letters turned out to be counterfeit, as evidenced by numerous sources, as well as official technical support. PayPal is investigating the case and intends to learn how hackers got access to the users’ addresses.

Representatives of PayPal noted that they do not prohibit cryptocurrency. In the “Usage Policy”, published on the site, there is no information on the limitation of the cryptocurrency. It is worth noting that the PayPal payment system, on the contrary, supports the development of bitcoin and blocking.
